Camellia Academy offers courses starting in March and continuing throughout the year.
Each full-day course will help students with the planning of their day, as well as
enhancing the relaxed but efficient ambience of the courses.
Our vocational courses are delivered in a professional, friendly and stimulating
environment and it is our policy to use only practicing professionals for all aspects
of the tuition provided.
Our courses include a delicious 2-course lunch at a local restaurant serving locally
produced dishes. On successful completion of the course, you will receive a Level
1 certificate in Interior Design.
5 day intensive Master-Class interior design course
This is a 5-day intensive master-class. We have organised to have guest speakers
and practitioners appear in many specialist areas of expertise.
Learn all aspects of Camellia’s methods and organisation when working on the design
of a coastal interior. Covering budgeting, design, reading of floor plans and planning
a room for practicality and style. We will show you how to create a room-board, select
fabrics and textures and shop for accessories. The days are broken down into concise
classes and, during breaks, meals and treats are served. Set at the heart of Camellia's
creative world, in our design studio in Falmouth, this thorough yet intimate course
offers students a uniquely individual experience.
By the end of the course all students should feel confident enough to begin designing
their own interiors and Elaine Skinner herself will be assessing the boards and choices
made by each student as part of their final case study.
